OKEHAMPTON kept their unbeaten record going on this hot Sunday morning. However, they appeared at times to have not quite adapted to the clocks going forward one hour, as they regularly still seemed not quite fully awake. Their attack was at times lively, but their usual solid defence often was found wanting. Leon Horne scored the opening try for the Oke's and this was followed by another from Ollie Ardon. The Okes were unable to substitute their injured players and battled gamely to earn a draw.

IN the second match Okehampton ran out victors after a brace of tries apiece from the ubiquitous Leon Horne, and the hard running Gregory Daniel.
The firm pitch made for a fast game and the sides were evenly matched. This week the Okes play in end of season tournament at Exeter Saracens.

OKEHAMPTON seemed a little slow in the first half and Teignmouth took advantage. The visitors benefitted from one fast player, in particular, who was fed the ball on most occasions and was able to out-sprint the Okes' defence. However, the Okehampton boys demonstrated better all round team skills, passing the ball freely among all players with good ball handling skills. The pace of Teignmouth kept the Okes on their toes during the second half, but the home team had the measure of them by now and held the score to two all in this half. Try scorers: Tom Michie, Daniel Turney (2), Imogen Ogborne, Nathan Tomkins, Will Risdon

Tavistock RFC U7s 35
LAUNCESTON RFC invited Tavistock to play two warm up games for their first XV game this weekend.
The boys gave the crowd two cracking matches of fast paced and evenly matched tag rugby. Both sides showed great attacking flair and defensive strength.
Tavistock drew first blood with a try from Harry Richardson. There then followed a series of attacks and breakdowns with Noah Berridge equalising for Tavistock just before half-time. Launceston rallied for a final attack but an interception by Harry Richardson running the full width of the pitch thwart the attack.
The second half saw Tavistock's stamina pay off with five further tries from Louis Peake, Harry Richardson and Noah Berridge (3), being created by the confident running of centres Tom Gardener and Jack Dashper. Tavistock's solid defence allowed Launceston only two tries in reply.

IN the second game fresh legs in the large Launceston squad gave them the edge. Tavistock fought bravely to run in four tries — Harry Edwards and James White completing a superb supporting game with a deserved try, Louis Peake scoring with a full length pitch run and Noah Berridge side- stepping his try tally to five. Again the try scoring opportunities were created by deep runs into Launceston defence by the fearless Tavistock centres Jack Baker and Joe Inman.
