Horrabridge Rangers 6
SB Frankfort 2
HORRABRIDGE started the game well and were passing the ball with real quality and, with new signing Jake Murrain and Josh Birch controlling the midfield, the home side started to create plenty of chances.
Murrain went closest after he did well to reach an Aaron Johnson corner to head just over.
Courtney Fry opened the scoring after ten minutes when Aaron Johnson's through ball found Fry, who did well to beat two defenders before firing past the keeper from 16 yards.
Horrabridge's second goal came five minutes later. From a marvellous piece of individual skill, Josh Birch picked the ball up on the right hand side of the field and went on to beat three players before smashing the ball past the advancing goalkeeper.
The visitors fought back and had some good spells of possession, but centre backs Will Glanville and Jack Northam were always equal to the task and controlled their line well.
The second half was full of goals and controversy as Horrabridge continued to pass the ball well. Courtney Fry added a third when he turned well inside the box to fire home from eight yards.
Josh Birch continued his scoring form, linking up well with Johnson to score from 12 yards.
With Horrabridge applying plenty of pressure on the SB goal, Aaron Johnson added a fifth after superb work from Dan Dawes, whose free-kick found Courtney Fry on the edge of the box, who superbly turned and shot first time to find the top corner of the net to complete a well-taken hat-trick.
Horrabridge were reduced to ten men five minutes from time and seemed to lose their concentration, letting the visitors score twice in the final minutes.
Player of the match was Will Glanville.
