ENTERTAINMENT for children and adults will be provided in Tavistock town centre this Bank Holiday Sunday, following plans organised by pannier market staff. Deputy market reeve Mike Souttar said Bedford Square will host a puppet show for the children and youngsters can also take the opportunity to have their face painted. Mr Souttar said: ?We have the bridal fayre going on in the town hall, so we thought we?d put on an extra market and have some things organised for the square to make it look a bit more jolly for visitors over the holiday weekend. ?We?ve got quite a few new traders in the market for that day, which will be a mixed market, and we?ll get the barrows out on the square too.? Mr Souttar said there will also be an additional market on the following Sunday, September 4, to coincide with the book fair which is held annually in the town hall. ?That event won the best small book fair in the country title last year, so we thought we?d do an extra market, concentrating on books. ?You tend to get different people coming to the book fair, so it will be nice to get them into the market as well,? said Mr Souttar.
