CHILDREN from Princetown Pre-School and class 3/reception at the village primary school enjoyed a visit to Princetown Fire Station last week.
The event was hosted by fire fighters Mark Williams and Aaron Worth, who showed the youngsters all sorts of equipment.
Aaron – owner of Dartmoor Hardwoods when not firefighting – dressed in breathing apparatus and helped the children all have a go with the hosereel.
Mark – a manager at Ambrosia, Lifton – explained the work of the retained firefighters and made sure the children knew all about the dangers of matches and fires, and handed out activity booklets.
