OKEHAMPTON started well and Kelly Cooper scored the first goal, having beaten the home side's defence.
Okehampton were then awarded a penalty as Cooper was brought down in the box. Karen Fuell successfully put it away.
Okehampton's next goal came from Michelle Vaughan, who hit a tremendous volley over the keeper's head.
But the home side were not dead and buried and attacked skilfully, scoring a much-needed goal before half-time.
Okehampton responded with a well-deserved goal from Hayley Vincent who received a through-ball and placed it nicely past University's keeper.
Okehampton Ladies had not had a game for a while and this showed in the second half. Exeter dug deep while their opposition ran around chasing their tails. Okehampton began to struggle, the home team took advantage and slowly pulled two goals back.
Exeter pulled out all the stops to get an equaliser and managed it.
Promotion is still a possibility, but the pressure is now on Okehampton to bring away six points from their last two games, home and away to Plymouth University.
