MY Generation are four professional musicians with the charisma and energy to recreate the music of the world?s most powerful rock band. Their special tribute show to The Who will be performed at The Wharf in Tavistock this weekend. Lead singer of My Generation, Gary Charman, formed the band from artists who were not merely Who clones but talented performers totally devoted to the music of the great original group. A ?look-alike? to Roger Daltry, Gary?s animated vocals are perfectly matched by the dexterity of Steve White on bass guitar (the John Entwistle of My Generation) and by drummer and harmonica player Gary Harper (an impressive Keith Moon). The tribute band is completed by ?Pete Townsend?, otherwise lead guitarist, Terry Hills. The show includes some great ?60s singles, such as ?I Can?t Explain? and ?Pictures of Lily?. Other rocking numbers are ?Baba? O?Riley?and ?Pinball Wizard?. For sensational entertainment and a nostalgic visit down memory lane, come to The Wharf on Saturday September 15 at 8pm. There will be a barbecue and late bar from 7.00pm. Box office 01822 611166.
