THE POST office in St Ann's Chapel is to remain in its current position and not be relocated at this stage, it has been confirmed.

The Post Office press office said a decision had been made not to proceed with a proposal to relocate the St Ann's Chapel branch 400 metres away into the Maberley's convenience store. This follows a six-week public consultation.

'We have decided to keep St Ann's Chapel Post Office at its current location with the same operator for the time being,' said a spokesperson.

'Other locations may be considered. Any new location proposed would be subject to a further six-week period of consultation.'
