POLICE are keen to identify a dog that was pictured in the area of recent sheep attacks.

Following last week's item on the Times' Police Desk about two incidents of sheep attacks in fields in Grenofen, a photo was submitted to police of a dog that had been seen nearby. The photo (right) shows a black and white Collie that was taken by a local resident on the day of the second sheep attack after reading the piece in the Times. The dog was seen coming out of a field near where the attack took place.

The first sheep was mauled and killed on Friday, October 10 and a second was also killed overnight on Sunday/Monday, October 12/13. Police would like to identify the dog and its owners to investigate further. Anyone who recognises the dog and knows who it belongs to is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference numbers CR/113478/14 and CR/114246/14.
