POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a single-vehicle collision close to Dunterton, near Milton Abbot, on Monday (November 13) which left a 35-year-old man with a serious head injury.
Officers were called at 8.15pm after the blue Audi collided with a telegraph pole on the B3362 near Dunterton.
The driver and only occupant, the 35-year-old man from Launceston, was ejected from the vehicle. He was airlifted to Derriford Hospital with a serious head injury.
The road was closed for seven hours for the officers to examine the scene and for the vehicle to be recovered.
Tavistock firefighters attended at 8.40pm to make the vehicle safe as it was in a hazardous position. Western Power Distribution and BT were requested to attend.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the vehicle travelling on the road beforehand to contact them via [email protected] or by phone on 101, quoting log number 691 of 13/11/17.
