POLICE in Tavistock are appealing for information following a series of unpleasant incidents at a town centre block of flats. Sgt Richard Nettleship said the incidents involved a man knocking on doors at Godolphin House, exposing himself and posting condoms through people?s letter boxes. Sgt Nettleship said: ?We are quite concerned ? we have found out this has happened quite a few times and we need to know from the public if it happens again ? people should not let him in or engage in conversation but should call us straight away.? Sgt Nettleship said as far as police were aware, the incidents had only happened at Godolphin House, but if similar visits had been paid to other addresses in the town, officers would like to hear about them. ?He has been seen with a bunch of car keys and a red penknife in his hand, with the blade open, although he has not used it in any way,? warned Sgt Nettleship. The man is described as white, aged 25 to 26, of big build with a fat face and huge gaps between his teeth, or teeth missing. He is about 5ft 10in in height, with short dark brown or black hair and has been seen wearing a black hooded-type top with a zipped front and blue jeans. He smells strongly of body odour. Anyone who has experienced an incident of this type or who witnessed one of these visits should call PC Simon Raeburn on 08452 777444, quoting ref JT0639.
