YOUNG pupils from the pre-prep at Mount House School in Tavistock gave a wonderful Christmas carol concert to the students and staff at the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust in Ivybridge last week.

They were there to present a generous cheque to the young people of Dame Hannah's. The young children had been fundraising for Dame Hannah's by holding a teddy bear's picnic.

Along with their parents and teachers, they took their cuddly toys along to school for an afternoon of fun and food. They were joined by fundraising co-ordinator Debbie Lumsdon who told them all about the young people and work of Dame Hannah's.

Debbie said: 'For such young children, they sang and behaved beautifully. Our young people at Dame Hannah's were mesmerised by their singing and thoroughly enjoyed meeting them. They were a joy to look after.

'We are extremely grateful to them for the time and effort they put into their fundraising and for their very generous cheque.'
