THAT hardy perennial, the Bridestowe bring and buy plant sale, takes place this year on Saturday, May 30 from 10am to noon at Leawood.

There will be plants of all sorts —labelled and in pots — so, for those who have a surplus to get rid of or need to buy more, this is their opportunity. In the light of modern trends the aim is to have lots more vegetables for sale.

The sale is held in aid of The Children's Society and St Bridget's Church.

It will also support two other causes: Bridestowe, Sourton and Lydford Preschool will be running a cakes and toys stall and there will be a Traidcraft stall on which there will be a variety of goods to buy from around the world.

There will be refreshments available and a gardener's raffle.

The sale will be clearly signed from the old A30 and from the Fox and Hounds on the A386. All local garden enthusiasts are invited to come and enhance their gardens in a good cause at this popular event.
