A PLANNING meeting will be held in Okehampton tomorrow (Friday), to take forward a project to create a floral celebration commemorating the Queen's Golden Jubilee this summer.
Okehampton resident John Bowers contacted the Times last week, after he came up with the idea of using St James Chapel as the backdrop for a jubilee flower festival.
Now Mr Bowers is organising the meeting in the chapel tomorrow, with the intention of firming up ideas and plans for the festival.
Anyone who would like to get involved, whether with the donation of flowers from their gardens, display designs, ideas or organisational help, should come along to the chapel on Friday April 19 at 7pm.
