TAVISTOCK triathlete Pete Jarman travelled to Wellington in the half term to compete in the Taunton Deane Foot Anstey Aquathlon. 

More than 200 competitors took part in this event which had a short and a long course.  Pete, 13, competed in the long course which started with a 1,000m swim, followed by a 10k run.  This event was a challenge for Pete as it was the first time he had run 10k. 

Pete, a member of Tavistock Athletic Club and Tavistock Swim Club, finished the race in a time of 1hr 04mins 18secs to take first place in the youth category.
