AN 80-year-old man remains in a life-threatening condition after a serious collision in Tavistock last Saturday (January 18).

The incident happened at around 3.10pm close to the bus station in Plymouth Road and involved a white Fiat 500 and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was flown to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance where he remains in a life-threatening condition, police confirmed as the Times went to press.

Officers from the Devon and Cornwall’s alliance roads policing team attended the scene along with response officers from Tavistock, a forensic colllision investigator and scene of crime officer. A full investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the cause of the collision.

Police expressed thanks to the public for their patience.
