Members of Tavistock Peace Action Group are inviting people to join them for a silent vigil for Ukraine in Bedford Square in Tavistock on Sunday.

The vigil in solidarity with the war-town country starts at 12 noon and runs until 2pm.

A spokeswoman for the group said all are welcome.

‘We welcome people to join us for as long or as short a period as they like,’ she said.

The vigil in solidarity with the Ukrainian people is one of hundreds planned nationwide this weekend as the Russian invasion continues.
