A WEST Devon Holiday park is in the running to win a top Goldstar award from Green Tourism for commitment to sustainability.

Woodovis Park in Tavistock has been nominated for the best holiday park category in the awards.

Park owner John Lewis said: 'We are delighted at the news and at being in the finals. We've introduced a raft of measures to ensure we don't detract from the stunning surroundings we enjoy here.

'We're thrilled to be one of the top three holiday parks in the UK and Ireland. It'll be great to have another way of showing off our lovely town of Tavistock and Dartmoor and all of the local suppliers and businesses who have supported us and helped make our guests' holidays so special.'
