OKEHAMPTON Friendly Circle is the latest beneficiary of Waitrose Okehampton’s Community Matters scheme.

Vickie Mills of Waitrose recently presented a £480 cheque to Pat Squire and Marie Aubin of Okehampton Friendly Circle, money donated through the Community Matters green token scheme.

Launched in 2008, the Community Matters Initiative has donated millions to a range of charities and community groups. Using tokens at the till, customers decide how to distribute a £1,000 monthly total between three local charities and organisations.
