VOLUNTEER Nursing in the South Seas is the topic of an illustrated talk by local residents, Annie and Dr Rupert Gude, on Tuesday (June 19).

They recently returned from a year in Vanuatu, where Annie worked as a VSO volunteer in sexual health clinics. Rupert worked across a range of general health matters.

This interesting evening will give an insight into life in an underdeveloped country and will raise many important issues.

The evening starts at 7.30pm in the Friends' Meeting House, Bedford Car Park, Tavistock, and has been arranged by Tavistock Peace Action Group.
