WEIR Quay Sailing Club have been holding the fourth race of their Spring Series in cloudy, but dry conditions, with force three to four southerly winds, over a figure of eight course.
The start was down the River Tamar from the clubhouse with four boats competing. Nick Maliem in his Laser headed up the start, followed closely by Rob Brereton in his Wayfarer.
With a close race to the first mark, Nick Maliem started to pull ahead in some good conditions with Tom Brooks in a Mirror in third place and Simon Mole a close fourth before retiring after the first lap in gusty conditions, leaving a fleet of three to finish the race.
The fast completed three laps with two for the slow handicap. The race was won by Nick Maliem.
