TAKING services out to local residents, West Devon's Connect team are working alongside the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) to launch a new series of surgeries in Princetown, adding the village to their list of regularly visited rural communities. The LSP brings together the public, private, voluntary and community sectors in West Devon for the purpose of improving the quality of life by enhancing services. The launch event will take place on Wednesday March 12, 10am until 2pm at The Pavilion, Barrack Road, with a whole host of agencies being represented. Among those bringing their services to the community are Dartmoor National Park planning advisors and rangers, the pension service, police, Devon Pound, the CAB, Devon's Energy Efficiency, Devon Care and Repair, Job Centre Plus and Leisure Connection. Regular surgeries will take place on the second Wednesday of the month, from 10am until noon, at Fox Tor Café (April 9, May 14 and September 10) and from an education vehicle at the DNPA car park by the High Moorland Centre on June 11, July 9 and August 13.
