A WEST Devon charity has reeled in a generous £1,000 donation, following the annual Anglers Paradise charity fishing match at held at the fishing complex near Halwill recently.

The wonderful total of £2,000 was divided equally between the Winsford Centre at Halwill Junction and the Nancealverne Special Needs School in Penzance.

As well as the fishing match, an auction and raffles were also held during the day.

Zyg Gregorek, proprietor of Angler?s Paradise, said he had been assisted by Billy Knot who did a ?brilliant job? of organising the match and auction. They would like to express their gratitude to the suppliers, who generously donated some excellent raffle and auction prizes.

Zyg also thanked all the anglers and friends who took part and the staff volunteers who worked hard in the background to make the day a success.

Sandra Willetts, chairperson, collected on behalf of the Winsford Trust and Fiona Cock collected the donation on behalf of Nancealverne Special Needs School at a presentation event last week.
