THE humble milestone is just one of Tavistock's listed items that will go on display at Tavistock Museum, when it opens this season on Easter Saturday.

As well as the permanent displays there is a new photographic exhibition on The Listed Buildings of Tavistock.

Susan Davies, the museum secretary said: 'More than 70 structures can be identified from the museum exhibition. All are worth protecting as part of our heritage.'

The museum, situated in the Town Council Chambers in Drake Road. opens on Saturday and then Fridays and Saturdays from 10-12 noon and 2-4pm and Wednesdays from 2-4pm.
