Public service workers in the Tavistock area received personal thanks from their MP when he visited them over Christmas. West Devon and Torridge MP Geoffrey Cox toured hospitals, residential homes and Royal Mail delivery offices over three days. Mr Cox said:?It was wonderful to see the lengths to which the hospitals and residential homes have gone in order to ensure patients and residents, who were away from home, were able to celebrate a traditional Christmas. ?I was delighted to be able to visit some of our public service workers, many of whom, because of their vocation, will spend much of Christmas away from their families. ?I wanted to take some time, during the festive season, to thank them, wholeheartedly, for their dedication and personal sacrifice.?
