LOCAL hospitals and Royal Mail offices will receive a Christmas visit from Geoffrey Cox MP for West Devon and Torridge over the festive period.
Mr Cox is to visit Tavistock and Okehampton Community Hospitals among others, and local Royal Mail sorting and delivering offices as part of his Christmas tour of the constituency.
The MP will visit the hospitals to talk to staff and pass on thanks to them for working through the holiday season, when many others will be enjoying the festive cheer with friends and family.
He will also arrive at Royal Mail sorting offices across the constituency in the early hours to catch the post men and women before they depart to make deliveries, in order to have a chat and thank them for all their hard work.
Mr Cox said: 'I look forward to my Christmas visits every year as it not only gives me a chance to thank those who work tirelessly throughout the year, but also to have a chat with them and listen to any concerns.
These people work on the front line of vital services that we depend upon, and I so very much look forward to meeting with them again this year, and expressing my sincere thanks.'
