THE Mount House girls' U11s hockey A team came through their four matches at the Devon Mini-Hockey Tournament with four wins to be crowned Devon County champions.

The tournament was held at Exeter School, and Mount House got off to a great start beating hosts 1-0 with a goal from Jessie Huntington. With their confidence boosted by this strong opening, Mount House went on to beat St Peter's 3-0, Blundell's 2-1 and Maynard 3-0 to come away with the shield for the first time in six years.

The entire team played exceptionally well, scoring nine goals, through Emma Manton (4), Jessie Huntington (3), Martha Jacobs and Millie Ridgers. Samantha Unsworth-White and Helen Jackman were outstanding in defence.

The U11s now qualified for the West of England regional finals, to be held at Millfield School at the beginning of the summer term.
