EAST Cornwall organic farmer and athletics virtuoso Sharon Daw has notched up another success in her marathon running calendar.

Last Sunday saw the intrepid mother battle against wet and windy weather conditions and off-road terrain to come second overall and first in the over 35?s section at the Clarendon Marathon in a time of three hours 22 minutes ? knocking a massive 22 minutes off last year?s performance.

It is the fourth personal best in a month for Sharon who completed the Truro Hack in one hour 29 minutes to secure third place, was the first lady home in the Ivybridge Beacon and completed the Frank Elford Autumn Trail in 55 minutes 36 seconds for another bronze medal position.

In that time she has also been awarded two gold medals and been placed first in her age group at the Amateur Athletics Championship.
