WHEN it comes to raising money for charity the ladies of the Moorland Group of WIs have come up trumps for three good causes.

The group, which has around 25 members and meets at the Victory Hall in South Zeal, presented cheques of £200 each to Devon Air Ambulance and Help for Heroes, and a further £100 to the Exeter-based disabled charity St Loyes.

Much of the money was raised when the group held a cabaret show earlier in the year. It has been a productive time for the women who recently raised a further £400 for the Macmillan cancer nurses at the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
