A GROUP of Tavistock athletes is appealing for the return of their training jackets after members came back from a run last week only to find their training jackets had 'disappeared.'

Dotty Allan, the head coach of Tavistock Athletic Club, is appealing for the safe return of runners jackets.

Dotty was leading a group of 17 around the Tavy 7 route on the evening of Tuesday, September 6.

She said: 'The runners had dressed for wet weather which held off so nine of the runners left their running jackets tied to a post at the top of the road at Warrens Cross. When the runners returned the jackets had been removed.'

The jackets are all long sleeved are all bright colours.

She added: 'This is the the first time in 8 years that anything like this has happened and it is disappointing.'
