Redruth Ladies 7

Tavistock Ladies 5

TAVISTOCK put Redruth under pressure from the start in muddy conditions.

The Tavistock pack was strong and constantly dominated scrummaging. With Kath Allen at number 8 and Helen King playing her first game as scrum half, communications between back and forwards was rather lacking

The Tavistock lineouts worked well even though it was extremely windy, Emily Johns as the main jumper had an excellent game.

At half-time neither team had scored and it was well into the second half before Redruth took the lead by a try under the posts which was converted.

Tavistock quickly replied with a good passage of play linking backs and forwards resulting in Bo Colton scoring out on the wing. Unfortunately, this was not converted.

Tavistock are at home this Sunday to closest league rivals, Brixham, kick-off at 2.30pm. All support would be welcome. Training will be Wednesday as usual at 7pm.
