A CHURCH of England minister will have a different focus from his normal duties when some of his photographic work is featured in a new exhibition at the Duchy Square Centre for Creativity in Princetown.

The Rev Nick Shutt is one of a number of amateur and professionals taking part in a photographic show on the theme of Dartmoor's weather — Nature's Forces in Focus.

Mr Shutt, who lives in Walkhampton, answered an appeal from Duchy Square to photographers of all standards to submit work that captures the unpredictability of the moorland weather in all seasons.

As well as being the Church of England rector of the West Dartmoor Benefice, Mr Shutt is studying a degree in photography at Plymouth College of Art.

He said: 'Undertaking a degree has been a real privilege as well as being great fun. It has opened up all sorts of opportunities for the future, including this exhibition.'

Fifteen other photographers have work in the exhibition including Rachel Burch and Wojciech Wituske from Tavistock and Jerry Morris from Peter Tavy. More than 30 images are on show at the centre.
