PUPILS from Kitty Tor at Okehampton Primary School have been helping to organise a mini farmers' market as a way to show their support of local food producers, which takes place alongside the school Christmas fair tomorrow (Friday) between 3pm and 4.30pm.

The children will also be running their own stall selling school-grown produce and selling their uniquely designed Christmas cards to raise funds for the 'Send a Cow' charity. Their goal is to raise sufficient funds from their stall to pay for an African child's education for a year.

The mini farmers' market is being held as a trial in preparation for a larger event next year to support the school's work towards becoming a Silver Food for Life school.
