OKEHAMPTON?S new hospital received a helping hand from estate agents Miller and Son recently when a cheque for £750 was presented.

The cash was raised through a Miller and Son promotion in the last three months of last year that involved the company making sales-based donations to the hospital appeal.

It will pay for a pulse oximeter that measures the level of oxygen in a patient?s blood and their heart rate.

Miller and Son branch manager Simon Gibbons said: ?It?s been a tremendous year for us so we were delighted to be able to raise these funds for the hospital.?

Simon is pictured presenting the cheque to hospital administration and support services manager Marilyn Poat and sister Anne Dabreo.

Also shown are Miller and Son staff Pauline Bartolini, Kelly Wreford, Neil Thomas, Dyfrig Phillips and Polly Lethbridge.
