SALVADOR Dali is the subject of a talk by George Melly at The Wharf in Tavistock on Sunday July 9.
Coinciding with a major exhibition of his work and the publication of a new book, Melly, one of the world's leading authorities on surrealism, questions whether he was a tortured genius or master manipulator.
Dali was one of the world's most popular painters of the 20th Century and surrounded himself with a bizarre entourage, yet died broke and alone.
George Melly vividly describes the life and times of a man, which is every bit as amazing as his paintings!
The talk starts at 8pm. Tickets from the box office on (01822) 611166.
