STUDENTS from West Devon who attend St Joseph's School are supporting their two headteachers as they prepare for the Virgin London Marathon.

Sue Marks, the school's junior head, and headteacher Sue Rowe, are running the marathon in April in aid of Kids Get Going, a charity that supports disabled children and enables them to become active in sport.

Mrs Rowe said: 'This is a huge challenge for us! We have gained a lot of support from the school community of pupils, parents and staff and are now reaching out to the wider community. Our aim is to raise £3,500 which will purchase a specialist sports wheel chair.'
