FIRE crews helped rescue a motorcyclist who was trapped under a large goods vehicle after a collision in Grenofen, near Tavistock, this afternoon (Tuesday, July 3).

Crews from Tavistock and Yelverton attended the incident at around 3.30pm where they found a motorcyclist trapped by their legs under a lorry. They released the male casualty using hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools. The patient was then transferred to hospital via land ambulance.

The police, ambulance and air ambulance were also in attendance at the scene.
