CHILDREN from year 2 at Tavistock Primary School are currently attending a French club with a difference.

Thanks to a group of language teachers from year 10 at Tavistock College, along with their teacher, Sally Bartlett, and key stage 1 teacher Dawn Sherrell, the children are having a great time learning a new tongue in a fun and creative way through songs, games and other interactive activities.

They are also being introduced to various aspects of French culture — a particular favourite has been the French food tasting!

Tavistock Primary School headteacher Lynette Selbie said: 'This is a terrific collaboration between the college and our school, and we are very grateful to the girls from year 10 for giving up their time and making language learning such fun for our year 2 children.'
