GET your tractors at the ready or just come and view some of the magnificent machines at the Lamerton Tractor Day and country fair this month.
A tractor run was successfully held in the village last year which helped to raise funds to carry out repairs to the St Peter's Church tower.
This year the event has grown and will be supporting the Brentor and Mary Tavy Scouts and cystic fibrosis, as well as the church.
The event will include a family dog show, tractor working demonstrations, including ploughing and threshing, displays of historic farming gear, tractors and vehicles, and a 15-mile tractor road run.
The WI will be providing refreshments and there will also be a barbecue, craft stalls and activities for children.
The event will take place at Great Haye, Lamerton, on September 22 from 10am to 4pm.
All tractors must be insured and visitors are welcome to take part in the road run and cultivate/plough afterwards.
If you wish to work your tractor, register your interest with Matt Young on 07966 881985 or Jim Cole on 01822 810268.
