MEADOWLANDS Leisure Pool is encouraging more people to get active by offering free swimming classes, to those over the age of eleven, at various times throughout the year until March 2010, in line with Harpers Fitness commitment to getting more people, more active.

The free swimming classes, funded by the Amateur Swimming Association, (ASA), will be available for non and weak swimmers as a great way to become more water-confident and enjoy being active in the pool.

Kate McKnight, national swimming manager for Harpers Fitness, said: 'This initiative is a fantastic way for apprehensive swimmers to build their confidence in the water and enjoy all the benefits that swimming brings.'

The free courses total six hours' tuition and are funded by the ASA and delivered by a qualified swimming instructor.

The next available courses start at the end of this month. Email [email protected]">[email protected] or ring 01822 617774.
