A TAVISTOCK man will take to the skies on June 6 to complete a parachute jump in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Chris Toop, who lives on King Street, suffered from a condition call Hirschsprungs as a child, a degenerative bowel condition, for which he was treated at Great Ormond Street. In 1978 when Chris was six months old he had his first operation in London. He said: 'I was finally discharged at 16 after having a total of 17 operations to rectify the condition. 'I am doing a charity parachute jump for Great Ormond Street Hospital on June 6 and would appreciate any help in reaching my goal of £250 — all money goes directly to the charity as I have already paid for the jump.' Anyone who would like to donate can text TOOP55 with the amount in £s, to 70070 to donate.
