CHAMPIONSHIP football side Queen's Park Rangers visit Langsford Park on Monday with a 7pm kick-off against Tavistock AFC.
Neil Warnock's team are one of the fancied sides to challenge for a place in the Premiership in the coming season. The team has improved so much under the leadership of the former Plymouth Argyle manager since taking over at Loftus Road last season. Neil had an immediate impact on the team's fortunes, and lifted them from just above the relegation places to a position challenging for a Championship play-off spot.
There will be numerous stars on show, and no doubt many local football fans will recall the ex-Argyle players, Jamie Mackie and Akos Buzsaky. Other familiar names like Heider Helguson, Mickele Leigertwood, Kaspers Gorkss and Shaun Derry to name a few are in Warnock's highly talented squad.
The game will kick off at 7pm but the club ask that supporters please arrive early. A large crowd is expected and as there is car parking at the club it is unlikely that this will cater for everyone. So leave yourselves plenty of time to get into the ground and settled before the action begins.
The Tavistock side will include a number of new signings, the experienced Martyn Sullivan, Ryan Cross, Matt Hawke, and Ian Symons have joined the club.
Local lads, Dan Pethick, the Kelly brothers, Matt Shipton, and Lee Blatchford's brother Jamie have joined the club, all these lads are highly rated by manager Ian Southcott.
Tickets are on sale at Active Co, Mainly Stationary, Tavistock Tyres, Tavistock Cycles, and The Red and Black Club.
