KELLY College swim squad attended their first open meet of 2007 over the weekend of January 27 and 28 and came away as top club with 434 points, almost 100 points ahead of second placed Taunton Deane on 336 points. The Kelly squad produced 195 personal best times, 30 gold medals, 16 silver medals and 18 bronze medals. Kelly swimmers also won five of the ten 'top swimmer of the meet' awards. Victoria Cadge and Joshua Lake were top in the 15 years and over age group. Olivia Duffield-Moore and Cameron Brodie were top in the 13 to 14 years age group and Kathryn Stacey won the 11 to 12 years age group. Kathryn Stacey, 12, broke five Kelly age group records, 50m and 400m freestyle, 100m and 200m backstroke and 200m individual medley. Cameron Brodie, 14, achieved three age group records, 50m 100m and 200m butterfly. Jennifer Oldham, 16, gained two age group records 50m and 100m backstroke as did George Humphrey, 11, in the 100m and 200m butterfly. Achieving one age record were Victoria Cadge, 17, 50m butterfly age group record and Paul Sutherland, 16, 50m breaststroke age group record.
