FOURTEEN cadets from Kelly College were at the Combined Cadet Force Summer Camp at RAF St Mawgan where they joined cadets from 12 other schools.

They enjoyed a challenging week of activities that included paint-balling, drill, kayaking, raft racing, shooting and an introduction to coasteering.

The week culminated in a blank-firing exercise in which Kelly again successfully defeated the Kernow Catastrophe with a well executed dawn attack in the Penhale Training Area.

The Kelly cadets produced some outstanding performances during the course of the week.

James Coone achieved top marks on the ranges firing the light support weapon, while the team as whole came first in the skill-at-arms stand of the Wyvern Trophy Competition and achieved third place in the overall competition. Krista Cooke was voted cadet of the week by her teammates.
