CYCLING her way to health ? Kerry Underhay of West Devon Borough Council (right) tries out the very latest in fitness machines during a recent health check and fitness day for council staff. The health checks, which included testing blood pressure and blood sugar levels and giving advice on sensible eating, were provided by the South Hams and West Devon Primary Care Trust. The trust?s smoking cessation advice team was also on hand to guide smokers towards quitting and support those who have quit to continue. The council?s leisure contractors, Leisure Connection, also gave staff a taster of their exercise facilities at the council?s Parklands Centre in Okehampton.
