Tavistock Ladies 11

Plymouth University 2

AFTER being knocked out of the League cup competition, Tavistock Ladies were back this week concentrating on the League.

They settled quickly and passed the ball round the nine players of Plymouth University.

Louise Galway passed to Donna Hone, who took the ball round Plymouth defence and shot her first goal past the keeper. Tavistock kept on the attack and good midfield work of Sam Payne and Aisha Macauley sent the ball forward again with Rhianne Parsons getting through to place a well worked goal.

A mis-kick from Tavistock defence let Plymouth come in and score their first goal.

Tavistock kept on attacking, but the Plymouth goalie kept them at bay until a mistake in Plymouth?s defence gave Tavistock a free kick. Parsons shot past the wall to find the back of the net.

Sam Payne worked her way through Plymouth University and scored Tavistock?s fourth goal.

Plymouth scored a second goal, then Kate Atkinson scored her first goal of the game, bringing the half time score to 5-2.

Donna Hone scored the first goal of the second half.

Kate Atkinson kept battling to get her second, third, fourth and fifth goals in a row, bringing the score right up to 10-2.

Candy Capeling ran the legs off Plymouth?s defence and scored Tavistock?s 11th and final goal.

All credit to Plymouth University, who never gave up and played with true sporting spirit.

Players of the match: Candy Capeling and Louise Galway.
