AN Okehampton man scooped a top award at a prestigious regional agricultural show at the end of last month. Ross Sizmur of Oatnell Farm, Okehampton, won the supreme sheep interbreed championship with his nine-month-old home bred Poll Dorset ram, Kanye West, at the Royal Bath and West Show. Ross has only been breeding sheep since 2004 and has around 240 ewes in his 'Rossiz' flock. When news of the win reached Ross he was on the farm, innoculating some of his flock to guard against blue-tongue. He rushed to the showground, but arrived minutes after the presentation, having got stuck in traffic. Luckily his friend Nicky Jesse was on hand to receive the award with Kanye West, presented by the Princess Royal.
