JUNE and Bernard James, from Whitchurch, were delighted to share their Diamond Wedding Anniversary celebrations recently with over 70 friends, family, and relatives.     

Noted for their charitable and wide ranging social activities in Tavistock for  many years, June and Bernard decided to have a high tea in Whitchurch Village Hall, with light music provided by Graham Leverett on the piano.      

A sumptuous spread was prepared by the Tavistock Group of Friends of the Children’s Hospice South West, of which which June has been a longstanding member, and guests were pleased to make donations to the charity in lieu of personal gifts.
