PASSIONATE cyclists or outdoor enthusiasts are being sought by Firefighters Against Cancer to take part in the Cancer Research UK's Dartmoor Cycle in May. Cancer Research UK in conjunction with Firefighters Against Cancer invite the public to join them for the Dartmoor Cycle Challenge on Sunday, May 6. Cyclists can choose from a 25-mile or 50-mile route and cycle through Yelverton, Dousland, around Burrator Reservoir, the Tors and Princetown and then return to Coy Pool. Jon Miller, a firefighter with Devon Fire and Rescue Service, said: 'Please come along and support us, we had a great time last year and raised substantial funds for cancer research. 'Nearly everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and who will have benefited in some way from the work of Cancer Research UK as it funds around 80 per cent of all research taking place in the UK. The cycle is great fun and a great way to get a bit of exercise and keep fit.' The challenge starts at 10am and is open to any individuals.
