SOUTH West Endurance rider Jo Chisholm from Lydford, and her 17-year-old pure bred Arab gelding Grey Medlar, are no strangers to tough conditions with Dartmoor as their training ground. This paid off at the Glenariff Endurance Festival and Home International in Northern Ireland, when they won the two day 100 mile (160 km) top class in wet conditions over a testing course.
Jo was a member of the England team (who are pictured), and sponsored by both her local Endurance GB South West group and members of her family, as well as having a set of shoes provided for Medlar by local farrier Ben Chamberlain. Medlar also won the prestigious best condition award.
