A NUMBER of strawberry-related events are taking place in West Devon this weekend as part of the Tamar Strawberry Festival.

The festival starts with Food Dreckly offering three course strawberry meals at the Cattle Market Café in Tavistock tomorrow (Friday), and continues on Saturday with the Strawberry Train, where passengers on the Gunnislake to Plymouth line can enjoy strawberries, cream and live music while on the move.

Also on Saturday will be a Strawberry Feast at Lifton Strawberry Fields from 8am to 5.30pm, and strawberry desserts at Buckland Craft Fair at Buckland Abbey from 10.30am to 5.30pm.

The festival ends on Sunday with a Strawberry Fair at Cotehele Quay with stalls, cream teas, jam making and cookery demonstrations from noon to 5pm.
